If ever there’s an ideal way to celebrate a public holiday, it’s with a mini-festival. Howler, with help from UnPop, Noisey and RRR, are putting on an all-day party combining music and art. Heading the bill will be Canadian rockers White Lung who will be here for a run of tour dates with America indie-rockers Upset, who are also going to be joining the party. Our own Adalita will join the lineup as well as a slew of local acts including Deep Heat, Scotdrakula, DJ Blaberunner, Typical Girls, Tristan Harris and Fraser A Gorman.

Utilising every inch of Howler with local art installations, music, record and market stalls, the finest food trucks and even an in-house hairdresser. It’ll be a sensory splendour, in the midst of the gloomy Melbourne winter.

Doors open from 1pm, Monday 9th June and tickets are on sale now. Unpop are giving the first 75 people to purchase tickets, a double pass to the screening of Hit So Hard held at Howler on Thursday May 8th. Hit So Hard is the 2011 documentary which chronicles the life and near death in the early ’90s of Patty Schemel, member of Upset.
