The Age Music Victoria Awards at 170 Russell, November 16th 2016

The Age Music Victoria Awards were held on Wednesday night at 170 Russell celebrating another successful year for Australian music. With 12 publicly voted categories and 11 genre specific judged awards, the spoils are not exclusive to artists but also cover Melbourne’s live music venues.

King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard were the top performers from over 800 nominees, with 3 wins including best album for Nonagon Infinity, while Camp Cope took out best emerging act. All the winners can be found here:

The event was highlighted with performances from Tash Sultana, Camp Cope, Melbourne Ska Orchestra and the EG All Stars.
