Please introduce yourself.

I’m Jade Alice, a singer-songwriter and donut enthusiast.

What can you tell us about your debut single “Kick Drum”?

Kick Drum was written at such a joyful time in my life. When I was 15 I heard this idea for a melody in a dream I had, when I woke up I wrote the song! The song is about the feeling of effervescence and happiness, a feeling I hope resonates with people who can take it into their lives, bop along to it in their cars or dance around to in their bedrooms.

What is the most recent album you bought and why?

I just bought Troye Sivan’s debut album ‘Blue Neighborhood’ and I have fallen in love with his style. I really admire him as a fellow Australian artist and I think he has created his own unique magic in some of the tracks on the album.

What is your greatest live music experience?

My greatest live musical experience would have to be performing my original song ‘Something Special’ in Hi-sense arena accompanied by an 80-piece orchestra! There’s really no way to describe the feeling of sharing a story with around 20,000 other people in the room, there was just this vibration of excitement that flooded over me.

You can go to any fictional place for a day. Where would it be and what is the first thing you would do?

I would probably go to Willy Wonka’s chocolate factory and into that room where everything is edible. And eat everything.
