Cat Power, one of the pioneers of the slowcore microgenre, has been forced to cancel her Australian tour due to health issues. Cat Power, real name Chan Marshall, suffers from Hereditary Angioendema, a serious rare blood disease that, among other symptoms, causes swelling around the throat, oesophagus, and internal organs.
