For its seventh year, the Australasian Worldwide Music Expo is aiming again to showcase some of the finest roots music from Australia and beyond across four days and nights, to be held in Melbourne November 13th to 16th.

The first round of acts to be announced for AWME 2014 showcases an incredible mix of Australian and international acts including Melbourne’s own Grammy nominated soul outfit Hiatus Kaiyote, bluesman and guitarist Ash Grunwald, multi-talented Indigenous musician Bart Willoughby, Indigenous hip-hop/soul artist  Jimblah and acoustic troubadour buskers Pierce Brothers, R&B soul singer Ms Murphy and brass ensemble Bullhorn. First round of international artists are Nahko and Medicine for the People (USA), Digging Roots (Canada), Estere (NZ), and jazz/electronic act Myele Manzanza (NZ).

“I’m pleased to say that again, this is an incredibly strong and diverse line-up which solidifies our reputation as one of the leading roots music events on the annual calendar” said Simon Raynor, Director of AWME.

Attracting over 500 national and international music industry delegates (and growing annually), AWME provides a platform to foster stronger relationships between music industry associates by bringing together musicians, industry partners/representatives and festival audiences from all corners of the globe for four days of non-stop music, networking and conference sessions.
